Although this kind of stainless steel is very common in China, the name “304 stainless steel” comes from the United States. Many people think that 304 stainless steel is a model name in Japan, but strictly speaking, Japan’s official name for 304 stainless steel is “SUS304”. The market has three standard marking methods: 06Cr19Ni10, 304, and SUS304. Among them, 06Cr19Ni10 generally means china’s standard production, 304 generally means ASTM standard production, and SUS304 indicates standard Japanese production.

304 is generally stainless steel commonly used to make equipment and parts that require an excellent cabinet. To obtain the inherent corrosion resistance of stainless steel, the steel must contain more than 16% chromium and more than 8% nickel. Stainless steel 304 is a grade of stainless steel produced according to the American ASTM standard.
